Staff Sergeant David Dwayne Self, 29, of Pearl, Mississippi, was a U.S. Army engineer serving with the 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment. He died on May 16, 2011, in Spin Ghbarga, Afghanistan, from hostile action.

Private First Class Cheizray Lashawn Pressley, 21, of North Charleston, South Carolina, was killed in hostile action on May 16, 2011, in Qalat, Afghanistan, while serving with the U.S. Army.

U.S. Army Specialist Brian David Riley Jr., 24, of Longwood, Florida, served with the 2nd Battalion, 35th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, based at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.

Sgt. Amaru Aguilar, 26, of Miami, Florida, was a U.S. Army cavalry scout. He died on May 13, 2011, in Kandahar, Afghanistan, during Operation Enduring Freedom.

Lt. Col. Benjamin James Palmer, 43, of Modesto, California, was a U.S. Marine killed in a hostile incident at Camp Dwyer, Afghanistan, on May 12, 2011.

Sgt. Kevin Brian Balduf, 27, of Nashville, Tennessee, was a U.S. Marine with 8th Communications Battalion. He died in Helmand province, Afghanistan, on May 12, 2011.

U.S. Army First Lieutenant Demetrius Montaz Frison, 26, of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, was killed in hostile action on May 10, 2011, in Chergataw, Afghanistan.

U.S. Army Sergeant Ken King Hermogino, 30, of Edwards AFB, California, was killed in action on May 9, 2011, in Herat, Afghanistan, while serving with Troop A, 7th Squadron, 10th Cavalry Regiment.

Active Duty, ARMY, COMPANY C, 2ND SQUADRON, 2ND STRYKER CAVALRY REGIMENT, VILSECK, GERMANY, SPC Spaulding, Riley Sheridan of SHERIDAN, TX, 21, died in KANDAHAR, AFGHANISTAN on May 4, 2011.

U.S. Army Specialist Robert Michael Friese, 21, of Chesterfield, Michigan, was killed in a hostile incident in Al Kut, Iraq, on April 29, 2011.

Staff Sergeant Matthew Daniel Hermanson, 22, of Appleton, Wisconsin, was killed by hostile fire on April 28, 2011, at Forward Operating Base Shank in Logar Province, Afghanistan.

Lance Corporal Ronald Douglas Freeman, a 25-year-old U.S. Marine from Plant City, Florida, died on April 28, 2011, in Helmand province, Afghanistan.

U.S. Army Corporal Preston John Dennis, 23, of Redding, California, was killed in a hostile incident in Nalgham, Afghanistan, on April 28, 2011.

Adam Douglas Jones, a 29-year-old U.S. Marine corporal from Germantown, Ohio, was killed in hostile action in Helmand province, Afghanistan, on April 27, 2011.

Maj. Philip Dave Ambard, 44, of Edmonds, Washington, was an active-duty U.S. Air Force officer serving with the 460th Space Communication Squadron. He was killed in a hostile incident in Kabul, Afghanistan, on April 27, 2011.
