Staff Sgt. Charles Robert Browning, 31, of Tucson, Arizona, was a soldier with Company B, 1st Battalion, 158th Infantry Regiment, based in Phoenix. He was killed in a hostile incident in Mehtar Lam, Afghanistan, on June 1, 2007.
