Rai Biyu Book 1 Complete Hausa Novel

Read Rai Biyu Book 1 Complete Hausa Novel, an emotional Hausa story about poverty, marriage dreams, friendship, life struggles, and the search for happiness.

“I don’t want to marry into a family where they’ll buy me a cheap bed worth two hundred thousand naira and begin respecting me only because my father has a little money.”

“I would rather marry into a family where they’ll buy me a luxurious bed worth millions while still seeing my father as poor.”

“In short, I still stand by my decision to marry a rich man instead of a poor one.”

I laughed quietly while listening to Jidda repeat the same marriage dreams she always discussed whenever we talked about relationships.

Jidda’s Dream of Wealth

“My friend, you never take me seriously,” Jidda complained immediately.

“Wallahi Nawwara, the kind of life we’re living does not suit people like us.”

I smiled again before staring at her seriously.

“Jidda, you have too many dreams, just like me. But honestly, your dreams are even bigger than mine.”

“Allah has already blessed your family with a decent life, yet all you think about is marrying a rich man.”

“Not every wealthy person earns halal money.”

“Not every rich man has good character.”

“Many wealthy men disrespect poor people and humiliate their wives because they believe money gives them power over everyone.”

Nawwara’s Belief About Marriage

I continued speaking carefully:

“Some rich men constantly chase women everywhere.”

“They insult their wives especially when they feel the woman comes from a poor background.”

“I would rather marry a poor but educated man who values me and helps me become a better Muslim.”

“A man who respects my parents even after my death.”

“For me, that is enough as long as he can provide basic needs.”

Without realizing it, tears slowly rolled down my cheeks.

Jidda quickly touched my hand after noticing my emotional state.

The Pain of Poverty

“Wipe your tears Nawwara,” she said softly.

“I understand your feelings, but this life is truly difficult.”

“When someone grows up in poverty, naturally they dream about changing their life.”

“They want to help their parents.”

“Even education becomes difficult without money.”

“If you don’t have money, society treats you like nobody.”

“Honestly, nobody truly loves poverty except Allah.”

I smiled quietly because deep inside, I understood exactly what she meant.

Still, I feared becoming trapped in a wealthy marriage filled with pain and humiliation.

Life Inside Poverty

At that moment, Jidda answered her mother’s call and stood up.

Before leaving, she continued complaining:

“Look at this life again. Every day it’s either millet swallow or corn swallow.”

“There’s never any change.”

“Wallahi, I’m already tired of this poor life.”

“I even pity my future children because they might grow up eating the same food every single day.”

She placed a large bowl of millet swallow and kuka soup before me while still complaining.

“Wallahi Nawwara, one hundred days with a poor man can never equal one day with a rich man.”

I looked silently at the food before me.

Deep inside my heart, I whispered:

“At least your family can still afford millet swallow.”

But outwardly, I simply smiled quietly without saying anything.
