Christian Anthony Saracho Garcia was a 30-year-old U.S. Army Staff Sergeant from Goodyear, Arizona. He was assigned to Maintenance Troop, Regimental Support Squadron, and was based at Fort Hood, Texas, before deploying to Iraq.

According to the U.S. Department of Defense, Garcia died on April 2, 2011, in Babil province, south of Baghdad. The official casualty report listed the cause as hostile action. Specific details of the incident were not released in initial announcements.

Garcia was killed during Operation New Dawn, the final phase of the U.S. military mission in Iraq that began in September 2010.
