Their Story
Matthieu Marcellus was a 31-year-old Marine corporal from Gainesville, Florida. He served with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 464 (HMH-464), part of Marine Aircraft Group 29, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, based at Marine Corps Air Station New River in Jacksonville, North Carolina.
On February 17, 2006, Corporal Marcellus was killed in the crash of a CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter in eastern Afghanistan.
