Makaho Ne Book 1 Complete Hausa Novel
He walked with calmness, dignity and composure.
The walking stick in his hand, which he relied on as he moved, was enough to make anyone understand that he was blind and that the stick served as his guide.
He also wore dark glasses over his eyes, resting perfectly on his long nose, which suited his handsome face.
He was fair-skinned, tall and moderately built.
However, just one look at his handsome face was enough to tell that he was not the type of person who smiled often or easily relaxed his expression.
His physique and overall appearance carried the strength and maturity of a fully grown man.
The Mysterious Blind Young Man
He was dressed in a simple royal-blue traditional fabric, the inexpensive type popularly referred to as Yi Shirunka Maraya.
From the appearance of his clothes, it was obvious that he had worn them many times.
Nevertheless, it was equally obvious that he was a very clean young man.
His clothes were neat and spotless, despite the fact that he was blind.
He continued walking through the streets of a neighbourhood clearly occupied by wealthy people.
From the smoothly paved roads running through the area to the magnificent houses standing on both sides, everything about the neighbourhood reflected wealth and comfort.
The entire area was also quiet and peaceful, without unnecessary noise.
He Stops at a Magnificent House
Eventually, he arrived in front of a massive house and stopped.
He remained silent for about two minutes before knocking on the enormous gate.
From inside the compound, he heard the voice of Musa, the security guard, asking:
“Who is there?”
Since Musa had not heard the sound of a car horn, he immediately assumed that whoever was outside had arrived on foot and was probably a poor visitor.
He began walking towards the gate.
He had just come out of the toilet and was already talking to himself as he approached.
He said:
“Whoever you are, you will have to forgive us and go back. The kind-hearted woman you poor people used to come and meet here during the day, the one who always had sympathy for the needy, is no longer alive. Allah has taken her life.”
He continued:
“The woman who remains in this house now would not even pluck out a strand of hair for you if you were dying, let alone help you.”
Mallam Musa Meets the Blind Visitor
When Musa opened the gate and saw the person standing outside, he stared at him before asking:
“Mallam, are you blind?”
The young man remained silent and did not answer him.
Musa continued:
“Well, from today onward, you should stop coming here. The woman you normally came to see, the one who used to give you something whenever you visited, Allah has taken her life.”
“Today makes it exactly fifty days since she died. I know you probably came to offer your condolences, but you are coming more than a month after her death.”
“My advice to you is to leave this place before that disrespectful woman comes outside and sees you. The woman you depended on is dead, you understand?”
The Blind Man Becomes Irritated
The young man was already becoming tired of Mallam Musa’s endless talking.
He naturally disliked too much conversation and noise, while Mallam Musa himself seemed incapable of speaking quietly.
With his usual difficult and reserved expression, the young man frowned and began trying to enter the compound.
Mallam Musa followed him with his eyes and muttered:
“Look at the arrogance and stubborn attitude! You are disabled, yet you still behave proudly. Now you have even been driven out and left wandering around.”
Mamy Welcomes Him as the Groom
At that moment, Mamy came outside.
The moment she saw the blind young man, her face immediately brightened with a wide smile.
She happily said:
“So the groom has finally arrived to take his bride. Alhamdulillah.”
The young man did not say anything.
Instead, his face became even more serious.
Mallam Musa, however, was completely shocked.
He began wondering who exactly this groom was supposed to be.
Surely, she could not be referring to this blind man standing in front of him.
Mallam Musa pressed his lips together and returned to his duty at the gate.
Meanwhile, Mamy warmly welcomed the blind young man inside, saying:
“Come in, my son-in-law.”
