Sauyin Lamari Book 1 Complete Hausa Novel

Kowa Ya Ga Zabuwa Book 1 Complete Hausa Novel

Even she herself had very little strength left because of the severe hunger she was suffering from.

Since the previous afternoon, when she drank the maize-and-tamarind porridge that had become their usual meal, she had not put anything else into her mouth apart from water.

Now it was already approaching eleven o’clock in the morning.

The baby inside her stomach kept turning restlessly, but she continued fanning the fire.

With great difficulty, she finally managed to get the water to boil.

Aisha had already mixed the maize flour with tamarind water because they had nothing else available to prepare it with.

The woman simply poured the mixture into the boiling water and continued stirring until it became properly cooked.

They Prepare Their Simple Maize Porridge

She removed the pot from the fire.

Aisha went into their tiny kitchen, which was surrounded by old zinc sheets that had turned completely black with age.

She returned carrying three worn-out cups without handles.

There was no sugar to add because they did not have any and could not afford it.

The woman poured the porridge into the three cups.

She handed one to Aisha, covered her own cup and placed it aside, then picked up the third one.

She walked towards the worn-out mat spread across their veranda, whose floor was partly broken and partly covered with bare cement.

Usmanu Is Burning With Fever

A fair-skinned young boy was lying there.

His resemblance to Aisha was unmistakable, and he also appeared to be no older than ten years old.

The woman gently lifted him and helped him sit upright.

His entire body was burning with intense heat from the fever.

In her gentle voice, she said:

“Usmanu, get up and put something in your stomach, alright? Sorry, my child. Be strong for me, my son.”

With great difficulty, he managed to take only two sips before he vomited.

After that, he began bringing up nothing but watery liquid because there was absolutely nothing left inside his stomach.

Eventually, he could no longer vomit anything and was left painfully retching.

She Desperately Prays for Yusuf to Come

Hot tears began streaming down the woman’s face.

Inside her heart, she could do nothing except pray that Allah would somehow bring Yusuf to her.

She had already decided that she would ask him for help.

She would beg him to do something so that their young boy would not lose his life while lying helplessly at home.

Even if Yusuf insulted her until the insults seemed permanently attached to her body, she did not care.

Saving the child was all that mattered to her.

Allah Answers Her Prayer

Allah answered her prayer.

There was a sudden push against the compound door, followed by the familiar fragrance of the type of perfume Yusuf usually wore.

The moment the door opened, the scent alone was enough to tell her that Yusuf was the one who had entered the house.

She quickly laid Usmanu back down.

Then she fixed her eyes on Aisha, who had immediately stood up and hurried back to stand closely behind her.

Even Usmanu, who was lying weakly on the mat, began trembling more intensely.

The Children Are Terrified of Their Father

The arrival of their father was not something they associated with anything good.

That fear extended not only to the children but also to their mother.

They were terrified of him in a way that was difficult to describe.

In fact, it seemed that even if they had heard the movement of the Angel of Death himself, they might not have reacted with the same level of fear.
