The Royal Court

They were all seated inside the royal court, directly on the smooth white floor spread across the center of the palace.

Every one of them sat with folded legs, from the elderly man to the youngest among them.

They all shared the same resemblance, clearly inheriting the features of their father, who sat among them dressed honorably in a grey royal outfit.

Beside him sat his young fair-skinned wife, gently rocking the baby tied to her back.

The King Prepares for Judgment

The senior palace scholars sat close to the royal seat while the king watched everyone carefully.

Four royal guards stood beside him. One held a strong whip, while another carried a leather bag containing the Holy Qur’an.

The king slowly raised his head, and the most trusted elderly scholar began speaking respectfully.

He praised the king and explained that the children had brought a case before him, asking for justice.

The Complaint Against Their Father’s Wife

The eldest son, Dayabu Bine Mutalab, was asked to speak.

With visible respect and shame, he explained that they had come to seek justice between themselves, their father Mutalab, and their father’s wife Mardiya.

He said they wanted a clear religious boundary placed between them and her regarding charms, spiritual attacks, family interference, and anything that could bring harm between them.

The court became silent as everyone listened.

Mutalab’s Strange Request

When Dayabu finished speaking, their father smiled and looked at his children one after another with anger in his eyes.

He then said he also accepted that a boundary should be made between him, his wife, and his children.

But in a lower voice, he added that their love should not be affected because he still wanted peace between himself and his wife.

Everyone in the court became shocked by his words.

The King’s Anger

The king looked toward Mardiya with visible hatred and displeasure.

In his heart, he blamed her for being the center of such trouble.

The guard holding the whip struck the wall loudly, forcing everyone in the palace to sit properly and remain silent.

Then the Qur’an was brought out.

The entire court responded with takbir, and the atmosphere became heavy with fear and seriousness.

The Royal Oath

The senior scholar began explaining the conditions of the oath and the spiritual boundary being placed between the two sides.

The more he spoke, the more Dayabu began feeling regret.

He remembered how difficult and stubborn his younger siblings were, especially the most troublesome among them.

He feared that they might not be able to obey the oath completely.

The King Leaves the Court

After the ceremony ended, the king rose with pride and royal dignity.

His guards adjusted his magnificent outfit, which looked like peacock feathers and made him stand out powerfully inside the palace.

As he walked past them, he noticed one of the women secretly wearing earphones even while sitting before him.

This angered him deeply, but he continued walking until he left the court.

The Fight Outside

After the king left, the family members began standing up.

One of the daughters angrily moved toward their father’s wife and slapped her hard.

Immediately, the woman’s relatives attacked her.

Her own siblings also joined the fight because although they fought among themselves, they never allowed outsiders to hurt one of them.

A serious fight broke out between both families.

Dayabu’s Regret

Dayabu held his head in shock and regret.

He shouted that they had destroyed themselves because the oath had just been placed between them.

He tried separating his siblings, slapping anyone who refused to stop fighting.

Finally, he grabbed the sister who started the fight and dragged her toward her car.

In anger, he slapped her hard and shouted that she had ruined them all.

The Hidden Truth

Still breathing heavily, she looked at him with pain and anger before shouting:

“It is a lie! It was not complete! They fooled you, Yaya Dayabu. That was not a complete Qur’an they used.”

Dayabu froze immediately and stared at her in shock.
