Robert Marzan was a 54-year-old career US Army warrant officer from Sacramento, California. He was assigned to the 1st Theater Sustainment Command, a logistics headquarters based at Fort Knox, Kentucky, and was serving on a nine-month rotation in the Middle East at the time of his death.
