U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Andrew Thomas Lobosco, 29, of Somerville, New Jersey, was killed in action on August 22, 2009, at Bastion Role 2, Afghanistan. He was assigned to Company C, 2nd Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group.

Sgt. Matthew Lee Ingram, 25, of Pearl, Mississippi, was a U.S. Army infantryman serving with the 4th Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division. He died on August 21, 2009, in the Chapa Dara district of Afghanistan's Kunar province.

SPC Pellerin, Justin Reid, 21, a native of BOSCAWEN, NH, died serving in the Active Duty, ARMY, COMPANY B, 2D BATTALION, 87TH INFANTRY, 3 BCT, FORT DRUM, NY, during Operation Enduring Freedom on August 20, 2009. Cause: HOSTILE.

U.S. Army Sergeant Paul Edmond Dumont Jr., 23, of Williamsburg, Virginia, died on August 19, 2009, at Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan.

Adam Frank Benjamin, 34, was a U.S. Marine Corps Master Sergeant from Garfield, Ohio. He was killed in a hostile incident in the vicinity of Combat Outpost Payne, Afghanistan, on August 18, 2009.
