Matar Khalees Book 1 Complete Hausa Novel
She was a young woman around twenty-five to twenty-seven years old, breathtakingly beautiful with a rich chocolate complexion. Dressed in an elegant golden lace wrapper and blouse, a large shawl draped gracefully over her head, she walked with calm, measured steps toward her car parked in the company’s garage.
She heard the voice of Barrister Zee calling out to her—Barrister Zee, the wife of Engineer Jabir, the owner of the company. Turning around with a bright, welcoming smile, Deeja walked up to Zee, and the two shared a playful, warm greeting typical of close friends.
Zee looked at her admiringly and said, “Look at you, DEEJA, the big lady! I’ve visited this company four times without running into you. Thank goodness I finally caught you today!”
Deeja smiled softly and replied, “Well, Zee, what else am I supposed to stay back and do after finishing my work? I have to head home early—you know how troublesome my little one can be!”
“That’s very true, Deeja. Life requires nothing but patience,” Zee remarked.
“Uhm, exactly. Let me head home now, until we meet again,” Deeja said as she prepared to open her car door.
“Alright! Give my regards to everyone at home,” Zee said, turning around to walk into the company building.
Returning to a Distant Home
As usual, she did not find KHALEES at home upon her arrival. This came as no surprise to her. She headed straight into the bathroom, took a refreshing bath, put on comfortable clothes, and performed her prayers before sitting at the dressing table to groom herself.
Soon, she heard Engineer Khalees’s voice, indicating he was back. Listening closely, it was obvious he was on a phone call, so she didn’t rush out immediately. She continued preparing herself until she heard him walk into his bedroom.
She only stepped out after finishing her outfit completely—wearing a stunning orange lace top and skirt. She looked radiant, her head uncovered to reveal her lush, long hair tied back neatly with a ribbon matching her attire. She headed straight for Khalees’s room.
Cold Distance in Marriage
Entering with a gentle Islamic greeting, she found him sitting on the edge of the bed, engrossed in his phone. He answered her greeting without glancing up at her. Undeterred, she sat down near him and said softly, “Welcome back home.”
After a deliberate delay, he casually responded, “Thanks.”
She didn’t let his coldness hurt her feelings—she had long grown accustomed to it. She continued gently, “I’ve already prepared your bath water.”
“Got it,” he replied, his eyes still glued to his phone screen.
She added patiently, “Should I set your food on the dining table, or would you prefer I bring it in here for you?”
