Stephen Jerome White was a Sergeant First Class in the United States Army. He was assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 3rd Battalion, 16th Field Artillery Regiment, part of the 4th Infantry Division based at Fort Hood, Texas. His unit was deployed to Iraq as part of Task Force Baghdad.
