Weaver, Aaron Andrew
Chief Warrant Officer 2 Aaron Andrew Weaver, 32, of Inverness, Florida, was a U.S. Army reservist serving with C Troop, 1st Battalion, 17th Cavalry Regiment. He died in Fallujah, Iraq, on January 8, 2004.

Aaron Andrew Weaver was a 32-year-old Army reservist from Inverness, Florida. He served as a Chief Warrant Officer 2 with C Troop, 1st Battalion, 17th Cavalry Regiment, based out of Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
According to the Department of Defense, Weaver died on January 8, 2004, in Fallujah, Iraq. He was killed when the OH-58 Kiowa Warrior helicopter he was piloting was shot down by enemy fire. Another soldier, Chief Warrant Officer 2 Stephen M. Wells, was also killed in the incident.
Weaver's death occurred during Operation Iraqi Freedom, a conflict that began with the U.S.-led invasion in March 2003. By early 2004, the declared end of major combat operations had given way to a sustained insurgency, with the city of Fallujah becoming a focal point of resistance and intense fighting.
The Department of Defense announced Weaver's death on January 9, 2004. He was posthumously awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. His remains were returned to the United States for burial.
Weaver is memorialized on the Iraq War Memorial in Inverness, Florida, and his name is inscribed on Panel 10W, Line 122 of the Iraq War Memorial at the Veterans Memorial Park in Citrus County.
