Their Story
Serving as LCPL Olvera, Javier, from PALMDALE, CA, at age 20, with G CO, 2D BN, 8TH MAR, (RCT-3, 2D MEB FWD), 2D MAR DIV, CAMP LEJEUNE, NC, he went to Afghanistan, Philippines, Horn of Africa with the MARINE CORPS. He did not come home.
He did not survive OEF. The MARINE CORPS recorded his death on August 8, 2009 in BASTION, AFGHANISTAN, from HOSTILE.
