Jose Alonzo Hernandez was a 19-year-old from West Palm Beach, Florida. He served as a Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corps, assigned to 1st Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, Regimental Combat Team 2, of the II Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward), based at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.
