Ryan John Grady was a 25-year-old U.S. Army specialist from Bristow, Oklahoma. He served with Task Force Wolverine, Alpha Company, Engineer Battalion, 186th Brigade Support Battalion, and had previously deployed to the Philippines and the Horn of Africa before his assignment to Afghanistan.
According to U.S. Department of Defense records, Grady died on July 2, 2010, at Bagram Airfield in Parwan province. The official casualty report lists his death as resulting from hostile action, though the specific incident was not detailed in public releases.
