Carlos Edward Gill was a 25-year-old sergeant in the United States Army. He was assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2nd Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team, based at Fort Lewis, Washington. Sergeant Gill died on January 26, 2010, at Madigan Army Medical Center on Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington state.
