Thomas Kent Fogarty was a 30-year-old Staff Sergeant from Alameda, California. He served with Company C, 3rd Battalion, 509th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), based at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Alaska.
