Fatemeh Rahdar

Fatemeh Rahdar was a ten-year-old girl from Minab, a port city in Iran's southern Hormozgan province. She was a student at the Shajareh Tayyebeh Primary School, where she was among the older pupils in her grade.

On the morning of February 28, 2026, a missile struck the Shajareh Tayyebeh school building. Iranian state media and international news agencies reported the attack. Fatemeh Rahdar was killed in the strike. The attack reportedly occurred during school hours.

The strike on Minab occurred during a period of heightened regional military activity in early 2026. The city of Minab is located in a strategic coastal province near the Strait of Hormuz. Military analysts documented an escalation of cross-border strikes in the region during that period.

Iranian state media reported the incident and identified Fatemeh Rahdar among the dead. The Iranian government condemned the attack as a strike on civilian infrastructure. No group immediately claimed responsibility for the missile launch.
