Zainah Caye Creamer was a 28-year-old sergeant from Texarkana, Texas, serving in the U.S. Army's 212th Military Police Detachment, Headquarters Battalion, based at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. She was deployed to Afghanistan as part of Operation Enduring Freedom.
