Larry Dolan Bunn was a Technical Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force Reserve, assigned to the 307th Maintenance Squadron out of Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana. He was 43 years old and a native of Bossier City, Louisiana.
On March 7, 2013, Bunn was killed in a non-combat incident at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, a major U.S. military hub. According to the Department of Defense, he died from injuries sustained in a vehicle rollover accident while performing his duties on the base.
Bunn's death occurred during Operation Enduring Freedom, the U.S.-led military campaign that began in October 2001 following the September 11 attacks.
