Their Story

Leroy Edward Alexander was a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army. He was assigned to Company C, 1st Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne), based at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. The unit was part of Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force-Afghanistan. Alexander had deployed on multiple missions, including to Afghanistan, the Philippines, and the Horn of Africa.

Following his death, Alexander was posthumously awarded the Bronze Star Medal and Purple Heart. He was survived by his wife and two children. A memorial service was held at Fort Bragg.
