Kuyanga Book 1 Complete Hausa Novel introduces King Abdallah, a just and honourable ruler who deeply loved his subjects. He had three wives but only two children.

King Abdallah held her in high regard, and this allowed her to behave however she pleased. Everyone in the palace feared her, including the royal advisers, male servants, female attendants and everyone who depended on the royal household. Even her co-wives were afraid of her.
Ummah had only one child, Prince Anwar. He had been spoiled with excessive affection and privileges from childhood.
Anwar received his education abroad, beginning with secondary school and continuing through higher education. Unfortunately, living abroad severely damaged his character and upbringing.
After completing his education, he refused to return home. He had found a place where nobody could question, correct or challenge his behaviour.
Prince Anwar’s Reckless Life Abroad
Eventually, reports of Anwar’s activities reached King Abdallah. His Majesty immediately sent a special delegation to bring him back home.
When Anwar arrived, the king severely reprimanded him and issued a serious warning.
“If you refuse to abandon this behaviour, I will find a woman from among our relatives and arrange your marriage immediately. I will marry you to whoever I consider suitable,” King Abdallah threatened.
While living abroad, Anwar spent most of his time chasing promiscuous foreign women. The lifestyle he encountered there completely corrupted him.
He also surrounded himself with irresponsible friends who had nothing meaningful to do. Their lives revolved around moving from one nightclub to another, drinking alcohol, dancing and entertaining different women.
Anwar was particularly attached to a foreign woman named Rihanna. She stubbornly remained with him despite the humiliation and mistreatment she regularly endured.
One reason Anwar showed her a little respect was that she knew how to please and care for a man. She had mastered every form of seduction, manipulation and romance.
Rihanna’s Jealousy Over Anwar
Rihanna’s ability to captivate Anwar gave her an advantage over the other women around him. However, she was also fiercely jealous and had physically confronted several women who tried to approach him.
Despite her jealousy, Anwar would sometimes brush her aside and go out with whichever woman he desired. Rihanna only tolerated his behaviour because she feared him. Had she not been afraid of him, she would never have allowed him to continue treating her that way.
Anwar was arrogant, self-important and extremely confident in his status. He carried himself as though he were already the ruler of a powerful kingdom.
Deep inside his heart, he believed nobody had the authority to stop him from doing whatever he wanted. After all, he was the king’s son and the recognised heir to the throne.
His mother constantly strengthened that pride. Ummah frequently reminded him that he was the future king and that the kingdom would one day belong to him.
However, Anwar was not particularly interested in becoming king. He knew that accepting the throne would force him to remain in one place and abandon the reckless lifestyle he enjoyed.
King Abdallah’s Concern for His Heir
King Abdallah lived with constant sadness because of Anwar’s behaviour. He did not know how to handle his son because the young prince refused to accept correction.
Unfortunately, Anwar was his eldest son and the heir who was expected to rule the kingdom one day.
The king knew that Ummah was encouraging their son’s behaviour. When he previously tried to stop Anwar from remaining abroad, Ummah opposed the decision.
She insisted that Anwar should be allowed to enjoy himself abroad for some time. She did not want anything that might upset her beloved son.
King Abdallah’s other wives had little influence over the situation. They could only watch everything that happened without interfering.

Mamah had never given birth to a child. However, Fatu, the king’s youngest wife, gave birth to a son named Lamido. Prince Lamido was five years younger than Prince Anwar.

Mamah had entered the palace before Fatu, yet she never became jealous or resentful when Fatu gave birth. Mamah was a patient woman who placed her trust in Allah. Worldly matters did not trouble her heart.
She treated every child in the royal family as though she had personally given birth to them.
However, as Anwar and Lamido grew older, Mamah became more affectionate towards Lamido. He was intelligent, responsible and calm. He was not excessively talkative and always behaved respectfully.
Unlike Anwar, Lamido received his education in Nigeria.
Fatu Refuses to Send Lamido Abroad
When Lamido became old enough to attend university, King Abdallah wanted to send him abroad for his higher education. However, Fatu refused to accept the proposal.
In her opinion, sending a young man abroad without either parent to guide him could destroy his upbringing and change his good character into something terrible.
Anwar had not behaved badly before travelling abroad. He only developed his destructive habits after living there for some time. Fatu did not want the same thing to happen to her son.
King Abdallah was not angry with her decision. She presented strong and convincing reasons for refusing to allow Lamido to study abroad, and the king accepted her argument.
Mamah also supported Fatu because she understood the situation perfectly. The two women were close and often agreed with each other.
Ummah frequently accused them of joining forces against her. However, Mamah and Fatu avoided interfering in her affairs because they feared her authority and unpredictable behaviour.
