In surprise, Rahma said, “But yesterday, flowers were sent to me, and on the flowers it was written, ‘To my heartbeat, Rahma.’ I know no one else would do something like that for me except you. I do not like jokes.”

Aamir frowned and turned his back to her.

He said, “So you now have someone else who sends you flowers, baby? When did you start paying attention to other people?”

Rahma was confused because this was not the first time gifts had been sent to her. All along, she had thought Aamir was the one sending them. But now she wondered whether she should ask him directly or keep quiet so that he would not become angry.

She went in front of him and said, “Baby, by Allah, I do not pay attention to anyone else. You know that. Please trust me, baby.”

He looked at her with red eyes, took her hand, and placed it on his chest, which was beating heavily.

He said, “Baby, can you feel this? By Allah, if you give your attention to another man, I will die. Baby, I love you. For Allah’s sake, please protect my heart and do not run away from me.”

She hugged him and burst into tears.

She said, “By Allah, my Aamir, that will never happen. Allah has tested me with a deep love for you. Please do not allow worry into your heart. I do not think I can live without you. Please do not suspect me.”

He held her face and looked deeply into her eyes. His heart looked broken, and tears were even falling from his eyes.

He said, “Baby, I do not know why, but by Allah, my mind will not be at rest until I see you in my house.”

She smiled and climbed onto the desk.

“Listen to you. If not for death, our marriage is as good as done. Only one week remains.”

He sat down and said, “Thanks. I know. If I had my way, we would die together.”

That was how they continued chatting happily.

Aayan Watches Rahma

On Aayan’s side, after he finished speaking with Jabir on the phone, he began walking up and down. He could neither sit nor stand still.

He dialed Jibrin’s number again and asked, “Where are you?”

Jibrin replied, “I am at the school now.”

Aayan asked, “Where is Rahma?”

Jibrin scratched his head and began stammering.

The shout Aayan gave him forced him to speak quickly.

“Sir, please forgive me. She is currently in her lecturer’s office.”

Aayan said, “Okay. Did I not tell you to keep recording her movement on video? Send it to me now.”

Jibrin replied, “Oga, please forgive me. I sent her friend to attach the camera to her bag. She has just brought it to me, and I am checking it now.”

Aayan said, “Send it to me now.”

He ended the call immediately.

Jibrin said to himself, “I have seen trouble with my own eyes. If he sees them hugging each other, he will break my head. But I have no choice. I will send it and prepare myself.”

Then he sent the video.

Aayan opened his laptop and played the video. As he watched, he suddenly threw the laptop away and began scattering the things in his office.

He kept saying, “No, it cannot happen. Not my Rahmat. I will never forgive you for hugging my Rahmat.”

What boldness.

He picked up his phone and called Jibrin again.

As soon as Jibrin answered, Aayan said, “Stop that wedding at all cost. I repeat, at all cost.”

Jibrin asked, “Oga, how will I do that now? What should I do to stop the wedding? There is no time.”

Aayan said angrily, “I do not care what you do. All I want is for the wedding to be ruined.”

Jibrin said, “It is done, Oga. I will know what to do. Did you not say anything at all?”

Without thinking, Aayan replied, “Yes, anything.”

After ending the call with Jibrin, Aayan sat down, breathing heavily.

He kept saying, “My Rahmat hugging another man. Hmm, by Allah, you are mine.”

That was how Abdul entered and found him.

They were sitting in a large classroom, chatting. They were five in number, and everyone was saying whatever came to mind except Rahma, who was on the phone. She kept lowering her voice.

I heard her say, “Come on, my sweery, I miss you.”

Sa’ida looked at her and said, “Honestly, Rahma, you are in trouble. Sir Aamir just left this class, and now you are saying you miss him. I have been watching you. Even when he is teaching, both of you keep sending messages to each other with your eyes.”

Yusura said, “If these two lovebirds like, let them continue. I am starting to get annoyed with their matter. Come on, only one week remains before the wedding. Can they not wait?”

Rahma stood up while still speaking on the phone. She smiled and said,

“Sweery, I am coming to your office now. There are too many watchers here.”

Yusra twisted her mouth.

Sadiya said, “Just listen to her.”

Zainab looked at Yusura and Sadiya and asked, “Are you saying Rahma and Sir Aamir’s wedding is in one week?”

Sadiya replied, “Subhanallah, where have you been? We have been planning the wedding.”

Zainab said, “Honestly, you people have not been fair to me. How can I only find out now? I have always known that you do not really consider me your friend.”

Yusura smiled and said, “But you also know it is not our fault. We only met you recently, and you are not even in this department.”

Zainab said, “It is alright. May Allah put goodness in it.”

Rahma Goes to Aamir’s Office

When Rahma entered Aamir’s office, she found some girls standing before him. From the look of things, they had done something wrong.

She frowned and gave Aamir a sharp jealous look.

Aamir smiled, looked at the girls, and said, “You can go.”

The girls left.

He looked at Rahma and smiled.

“Baby, please forgive me. I was not chatting with them. They did something wrong.”

To his surprise, she burst into tears.

He quickly stood up and said, “Subhanallah. Baby, please forgive me.”

Crying, she said, “I do not like seeing you pay attention to other girls, my Aamir.”

He smiled, and the smile brought out his beauty.

He said, “But my Rahma, that is not possible. You have to understand that I am a lecturer, and I teach both men and women.”

She was about to speak when he pulled her into a hug and said,

“It is okay. I do not want to hear anything else, baby. Trust me.”

She smiled, pulled herself away, climbed onto the desk in his office, and began telling him what had happened between her and Yusura’s group.

He smiled and said, “They can keep trying until they get tired, but the liver and blood cannot be separated.”

She smiled and looked at him.

“My Aamir, when we get married, I will take care of you. I will show you so much love.”

He also smiled and asked, “Really, baby?”
