Discover the rich history of BODE Oracle, a digital platform merging ancient Ifá wisdom with modern technology.

BODE Oracle preserves Yoruba spirituality while dispelling misconceptions about African traditions.

History of BODE Oracle

The BODE Oracle is deeply rooted in the remarkable lives and visionary work of both my father, Dr. Olabode I. Atolagbe, and myself.

Together, we have worked to preserve, study, and advance the rich spiritual and cultural heritage of the Yoruba people.

As the first son of Dr. Atolagbe, I had the privilege of learning directly from him—not only about the spiritual depth of the Ifá tradition but also about the importance of bringing this ancient wisdom into the modern age.

This journey of knowledge and enlightenment ultimately led to the birth of the BODE Oracle, a seamless fusion of ancient knowledge and contemporary technology.

Dr. Olabode I. Atolagbe

Dr. Olabode I. Atolagbe was a distinguished selfthought scholar with a profound understanding of Yoruba cosmology and the Ifá divination system.

He spent decades meticulously studying and continuing his own father work which was also the work of our great great-grandfather.

Studying Odu Ifá, cosmology charts, and the sacred verses of Ifá—wisdom that has been passed down through generations of priests and diviners.

His research was driven by a deep belief that this sacred knowledge should not only be preserved but also made accessible to the world in a way that would resonate with both present and future generations.

Over the years, he wrote numerous papers on divination, traditional medicines, and music, and he translated works from Arabic Mysticism into Yoruba.

His tireless work on the Ifá system and Yoruba spirituality enriched my own understanding, both academically and spiritually, as I became his dedicated student.

My father's dedication to preserving and expanding these teachings inspired me to carry on his work after his passing, continuing his legacy.

The Birth of BODE Oracle

The BODE Oracle is the result of years of collaboration between father and son. In the final years of his life, Dr. Olabode I. Atolagbe emphasized the importance of preserving the teachings and knowledge he had imparted to me, recognizing their significance for the future.

His meticulous notes and research became invaluable in shaping this project.

After my initiation into Ifá in 2021, I discovered that my birth Odu pointed me toward this path, a direction I initially resisted.

However, over time, I found myself inevitably drawn back to the destiny my Ori (inner spirit) had predestined for me. At that point, I decided to embrace the spiritual direction my father had charted, but with a modern, technological approach.

In collaboration with my brothers, I envisioned a platform that would bring the wisdom of Ifá to a wider audience, extending beyond traditional consultations.

We saw an opportunity to create a platform that would not only guide spiritual seekers but also preserve the integrity of the divination system while making it accessible in a digital format.

After my father’s passing, I carried on the work, blending his vast knowledge with the power of modern technology. In his honor, I named the platform BODE Oracle, symbolizing the inheritance of his teachings and the expansion of his vision into the digital age.

The BODE Oracle represents a fusion of tradition and technology, empowering users to interact with the Odu Ifá and receive personalized spiritual guidance from anywhere in the world.

How the BODE Oracle Works

The BODE Oracle is much more than a digital divination tool; it is a living repository of Yoruba spirituality. At its core lies the Ifá divination system, which uses sacred verses known as Odu.

These Odu, when combined with complex calculations and rituals, provide deep insights into the past, present, and future.

The BODE Oracle simplifies the divination process for modern users, offering interpretations, guidance, and spiritual advice in a format that remains both accessible and authentic.

While traditional Ifá consultations require the presence of a Babalawo (priest), the Oracle enables anyone seeking spiritual insight to access the wisdom of Ifá while maintaining the system's integrity and sacredness.

Elevating Our Culture and Dispelling Misconceptions

The BODE Oracle is not just a tool for divination; it is an avenue to elevate and share our rich cultural heritage on a global scale.

By embracing the power of technology, we are able to nullify the misconceptions and wrong teachings that have labeled our tradition as black magic. Instead, the Oracle highlights the true essence of Ifá—wisdom, guidance, and spiritual clarity.

This platform serves as an educational resource, offering valuable teachings that educate young generations about the depth and beauty of Yoruba spirituality.

It is something we can all be proud of, as it brings our culture to new heights, helping the world understand and appreciate its richness, while positioning Ifá as a spiritual system rooted in light, wisdom, science and truth.

The BODE Oracle carries forward the legacy of our ancestors and opens the door for a greater appreciation of Yoruba tradition worldwide.

Preserving the Legacy

As we continue to develop and expand the BODE Oracle, my primary goal is to ensure that my father’s life’s work remains relevant, accessible, and vibrant for future generations.

The Oracle serves as a living tribute to his legacy, but it is also a tool for anyone seeking to explore Yoruba spirituality, understand their destiny, and gain spiritual clarity.

The BODE Oracle stands as a bridge between worlds—the ancient world of Yoruba wisdom and the modern world of technology.

It is a continuation of Dr. Olabode I. Atolagbe’s dream, brought to life through the lessons I have learned from him and through my unwavering commitment to sharing this profound knowledge about our traditional beliefs with the world.
