Otura Meji represents peace, harmony, love, and light, achieved through a deep reflection of the mind, heart, and soul. It leads to discovering the infinite wisdom, power, and resources needed to fulfill both our earthly and spiritual destinies.

Achieving inner harmony allows us to gain spiritual enlightenment and divine awareness, enabling us to rebuild our lives in accordance with spiritual laws and guidance.

Living by spiritual and divine principles brings harmony, peace, and love into our journey on earth. When the mind and soul are in a state of peace, it paves the way for abundant wealth, success, and progress in the physical world.

According to Ifá, a person of peace is someone who possesses the earth and understands the spiritual laws that govern existence, which is the essence of Otura Meji.

When one embodies these spiritual qualities—peace, harmony, love, and honor—as part of their daily life and character, they amplify and spread the culture of peace. This double expression of peace is what Otura Meji signifies.

Ifá teaches that inner harmony leads to optimism and prosperity in life, generating courage, hope, enthusiasm, confidence, and happiness in all aspects—physical, spiritual, mental, and divine.

Otura Meji advises seeking peace of mind to attract good health, long life, and success. This path only requires the effort to remain open to the flow of spiritual power within and around us, while maintaining calmness in the face of challenges.

Otura Meji symbolizes God's ongoing support in our lives. By understanding and living by spiritual principles, we can overcome the fear of evil, knowing we are protected by the divine forces of God, deities, and spirits that watch over us day and night.

Translation of the above verse:

One otura was divined on the ifa tray

When it becomes two, it turns out to be real and just

This divined IFA oracle for Odidere

Odidere (the great parrot)

The wife of Agbonniregun

They asked Odidere

Where is your husband?

She responded that he is at home

She greeted them back

They asked her again, Odidere

Where is your husband

She responded that he is at home

The black man at the hill of Igeti

The son of Ado, the father with medicinal cloth

Father set fire without a flame

Father set up fire unnoticed

Father set up fire with quick flame

Father set up fire to build unlimited and infinite charm

Thus divined ifa for the child of Ose

Believing that he will fail in the midst of the enemies

All mountain may fight Ose (a special divinity that resides in a tree called Ose)

What can you do to prevail over Ose

What can you do to fall Ose

The thunderstorm cannot destroy Ose

Fire cannot destroy Ose

Orunmila never allow evil to befall and over power me

Ase

Ifá warns that the person for whom this Odu is revealed must always keep the fear of Olodumare at the forefront of their mind. They should acknowledge that, no matter how powerful they become, Olodumare is the ultimate source of all power and can remove any power that is misused or abused.

Ifá emphasizes that if this person is placed in a position of authority, they must lead with humility and reverence for Olodumare. They should never mistreat others or use their power for revenge or to show dominance over anyone.

On the other hand, Ifá promises that this person will overcome a stronger opponent who has used their power, position, or influence to oppress, intimidate, or harm others.

To ensure success, Ifá advises offering a sacrifice (ebo) of one mature he-goat and money. Additionally, they should feed Esu Odara with a rooster. After completing these rituals, they should continue to place their faith in Olodumare in all thoughts, words, and actions.
