Zahra Behrouzi

Zahra Behrouzi was a child living in Minab, a port city in Iran's southern Hormozgan province. She attended the Shajareh Tayyebeh primary school.

On the morning of Saturday, February 28, 2026, Zahra was in class when at least one missile struck the school building. The Iranian Red Crescent Society reported the strike caused multiple civilian casualties. Zahra was among those killed.

The strike occurred amid a period of heightened regional military activity in early 2026. Multiple armed groups operate in the area, and cross-border attacks were reported in the preceding weeks. Iranian state media attributed the strike to an unspecified foreign entity.
