Their Story
Serving as LCPL Winkler, Jordan Dale, from TULSA, OK, at age 19, with 1ST TSB, (CSSB-1, CSSG-11), 1ST FSSG, CAMP PENDLETON, CA, he went to Iraq with the MARINE CORPS. He did not come home.
On November 26, 2004, the MARINE CORPS lost LCPL Winkler, Jordan Dale in CAMP FALLUJAH, IRAQ. He was 19.
Operation Iraqi Freedom began March 19, 2003 with the US-led invasion. The stated justification ? weapons of mass destruction ? was never found. Seven years of occupation, insurgency, and sectarian war followed, killing 4,418 Americans and an estimated 200,000 Iraqi civilians.
