Arthur Charles Williams IV was a 31-year-old Staff Sergeant from Edgewater, Florida. He served in the U.S. Army as a combat engineer assigned to Charlie Company, 44th Engineer Battalion, part of the 2nd Infantry Division, which was operating under the command of the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force in Iraq.
On December 8, 2004, Williams was killed during operations in the city of Ar Ramadi, a volatile insurgent stronghold in Iraq's Al Anbar province. According to the U.S. Department of Defense, he died from injuries sustained due to hostile action.
