Kevin Gachau Waruinge was a 22-year-old American from Hillsborough, Florida. He served as a Lance Corporal in the Marine Corps Reserve, assigned to Company A, 4th Assault Amphibian Battalion, 4th Marine Division, based in Gulfport, Mississippi.
