Nicholas Rudolph Walsh was a sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. He served with Charlie Company, 1st Reconnaissance Battalion, Regimental Combat Team 6, II Marine Expeditionary Force, part of the 1st Marine Division based at Camp Pendleton, California. He was from Millstadt, Illinois.

On May 26, 2007, Sgt. Walsh was killed by hostile action in the city of Fallujah, located in Iraq's volatile Anbar province. The Department of Defense announcement did not specify the exact nature of the incident, but his death was recorded as the result of enemy action during combat operations.

Walsh's death occurred during a period of intense violence in the Iraq War, known as Operation Iraqi Freedom.
