Jeffrey Davis Walker was a 21-year-old from Macon, Georgia, who enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He served as a Lance Corporal with Combat Logistics Battalion 6, Combat Logistics Regiment 2, part of the 2nd Marine Logistics Group based at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.
On May 14, 2007, Walker was killed during operations in the city of Fallujah, located in Iraq's volatile Anbar province. The Department of Defense announced his death was the result of hostile action, but did not release specific details of the incident. At the time, Fallujah remained a focal point for insurgent activity against U.S. and Iraqi forces.
