Robert James Volker was a 21-year-old soldier from Big Spring, Texas. He served as a Specialist in the U.S. Army, assigned to Troop E, 1st Squadron, 5th Cavalry Regiment, based at Fort Hood, Texas. He was deployed to Iraq as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
