Salma Zakeri

Salma Zakeri was a six-year-old girl from Minab, a city in Iran's southern Hormozgan province. She was a student at the Shajareh Tayyebeh school, likely in her first year of formal education.

On the morning of February 28, 2026, the Shajareh Tayyebeh school building was struck by a missile. Salma Zakeri was killed in the attack. A nine-year-old girl named Esra Zakeri, who shared her surname, was also reportedly killed.

The strike occurred during a period of heightened regional military activity in early 2026. The incident was part of a series of reported airstrikes and missile attacks on Iranian territory that month, which Iranian state media attributed to foreign forces.
