Fatemeh Fadavi

Fatemeh Fadavi was a pupil at the Shajareh Tayyebeh primary school in the city of Minab, located in Iran's southern Hormozgan province. She was 10 years old at the time of her death.

On the morning of February 28, 2026, the Shajareh Tayyebeh school building was struck by at least one missile. According to Iranian state media reports, Fatemeh Fadavi was among those killed inside the school during the attack.

The strike occurred during a period of heightened regional military activity in early 2026. The incident was part of a series of reported cross-border attacks and retaliatory strikes involving Iran and other state and non-state actors in the region.

Iranian authorities reported multiple casualties from the school strike, predominantly children. The attack prompted official statements of condemnation from Iranian government officials and local mourning ceremonies in Minab.

Fatemeh Fadavi's name was listed among the victims in Iranian media reports. Her death, alongside those of other children, was cited in subsequent international discussions on the protection of civilians in conflict zones.
