A Sanadin Tsaraba Book 1 Complete Hausa Novel English Translation

Four young ladies were sitting inside a room, each of them holding a phone. From all indications, they were chatting. They kept laughing and cheering as if the whole world had become sweet to them.

The girl sitting in the middle suddenly jumped down from the bed and began dancing with excitement.

The other girls quickly stood up and moved toward her.

They said, “Hanny, are you not going to show us the kind of gift he is bringing for you?”

The one they called Hanny jumped back onto the bed and said, “Hassy, Meena, Teema, come and see the gifts Babson said he will bring for me.”

They gathered around her and began looking at the pictures of beautiful long dresses she was showing them.

Nothing came out of their mouths except words of surprise and admiration.

Meena stepped back a little to see the long dresses properly and said, “Wow! But Hanny, if this guy is not deceiving you, then honestly, you have really gained. These dresses are beautiful.”

Hanny quickly replied, “He is not deceiving me. He even said he will bring me an iPhone. I do not even ask him about gifts every day, but he keeps telling me he is buying things for me. By Allah, you people have no idea how eager I am for him to return from Saudi Arabia.”

She showed them a picture of a pink long dress and asked, “Please, what do you think of this pink one?”

Teema Warns Her Friends

Hassy released a sigh and said, “Are you sure he will bring you all these gifts for nothing? You people have never met physically. You only chat. You know men nowadays do not spend money on girls without expecting something in return.”

Hanny laughed and said, “I know, Hassy. Men nowadays do not spend money on a woman unless they think they will benefit too. That is why we keep telling them that we will never allow them to cross certain boundaries.”

She continued confidently, “But small romantic attention is not a big deal nowadays. It has become common. Once they see you are relaxed with them, they begin to think you will agree to anything one day. But before they realize what is happening, we have already gained what we want and moved on. Is that not so, Meena?”

Hanny said this while laughing and clapping hands with Meena.

Teema stood up and said, “That may be how you see it, but I keep feeling afraid for all of you because of this lifestyle. By Allah, today you may think you will only stop at romance, but one day, things may go further than you planned.”

She added, “You may meet dangerous men who are more cunning than you. If you think you are clever enough to collect money and gifts from men this way, then by Allah, there are people who are wiser and more dangerous than you. So please, regain your senses early. I have no personal problem with you, but Allah knows I always tell you the truth.”

All of them shouted “Allahu Akbar” mockingly and began teasing her.

They said, “Mallama Fateema, we are impressed by this preaching of yours. You who are not enlightened are the one walking around like a poor girl, while all of us dress better than you. Do not forget that our parents are not wealthy. If a girl does not use small strategies, she will continue moving around in poverty.”

Hanny said, “We are not bad girls. None of us has crossed the line. What we do is just romance, and in this modern time, that is not seen as bad. It is called exposure. You should also join us.”

She burst into laughter.

Teema shook her head and said, “I have done my duty. I have told you the truth. I know one day you will remember that I warned you, and you will regret what you are doing. I am leaving because school time is close.”

Teema stood up and walked out.

As soon as she left, Hanny hissed and said, “Let her go. That girl’s head is always too serious.”

They continued their discussion, laughing and enjoying themselves.

Hanny and Babson’s Late-Night Chat

That night, Hanny was lying in their room while her younger siblings were asleep. She was chatting with Babson and laughing alone.

Their conversation was full of inappropriate romantic words, and both of them were careless about the danger of such behavior.

Babson, who was lying in a hotel room, became more excited as the chat continued. He kept sending her sweet words and telling her that he could not wait to see her.

Hanny also continued replying in a way that made him believe she was deeply interested in him.

Then Babson began sending her pictures of clothes, including beautiful materials. He told her that all of them belonged to her and that he had already filled a box with gifts for her.

Hanny jumped down from the bed in excitement. Quickly, she typed and asked him when he would return.

He replied that he would return in three days.

With joy, Hanny replied that she could not wait for him to come back and that she would surprise him.

They continued chatting until around three o’clock in the morning before saying goodbye. After that, Hanny sent the new pictures of the gifts to Meena and the others.

She slept that night dreaming about the clothes Babson had promised to bring for her.

“Subhanallah! I am late. By Allah, this guy has taken my attention until I missed the early time for Fajr prayer,” Hanny said.

She jumped down from the bed, entered the bathroom, brushed her mouth, performed ablution, came out, wore her long hijab, and prayed.

After she finished praying, a call came into her phone.

She said, “Who is disturbing me this early morning?”

She kept murmuring until she checked the phone and saw Hassy’s name on the screen. She answered the call.

“What happened, Hassy?” she asked.

Hassy laughed and said, “Leave me, Hanny. Do you know that yesterday I even dreamed of that pink long dress?”

Hanny laughed and said, “So even you, who are not the one receiving the gift, have already started dreaming about it. What about me?”

Hassy said, “Anyway, get ready later. I will go to Meena’s house, and from there we will come to your place.”

Hanny asked, “What about Teema? Does she mean she will not come, or is she jealous because she has not found someone like Babson?”

Hassy replied, “Leave her alone. She is always acting like the granddaughter of scholars and pretending to be an ustazah. We will come.”

Hanny ended the call.

Hanny Prepares for the Day

Hanny sat down and prepared a sweet morning message for Babson. She prayed that when he woke up, the first thing he would see would be her text.

Then she went to the bathroom, bathed, and came out. She stood in front of the mirror and hissed.

She said, “By Allah, I did not want my period to come now. Now I will be dealing with stomach pain.”

She dressed up beautifully in a pink long dress decorated with black stones. She looked extremely beautiful in it.

As for Babson, from the moment he woke up, he felt as if time was moving too slowly. He was eagerly waiting for Friday, the day he told Hanny he would return. He was desperate to meet her because he had spent the night thinking about her.

He leaned against the bed. Suddenly, when he heard a text message enter his phone, he quickly sat up.

He smiled as he read Hanny’s message.

Then he opened the pictures she had sent earlier and looked at them with excitement. He smiled and said, “I like this.”

After that, he took his laptop and began watching a foreign film filled with immoral scenes. He watched carelessly, feeding his desire and impatience.

The Girls Visit Hanny

Around two o’clock, Hassy and the others arrived at Hanny’s house.

Hanny hugged them happily and said, “By Allah, I thought you would not come.”

Hassy said, “Leave it. It was Meena who delayed us.”

She pointed at Meena while speaking.

That day, Hanny and her friends spent the whole time chatting. She told them how eager she was for the next day to come so she could meet Babson and collect her gifts. She even told them that she had dreamed about the clothes.

That night, Hanny and Babson again chatted deep into the night. Most of their conversation was inappropriate and careless. Babson also sent her things that frightened her a little because even her boldness had not reached that level.

They did not drop their phones until around three o’clock in the morning.

The Day Babson Returns

The next morning, Hanny woke up, bathed, and dressed in a long dress that one of her friends had brought for her from Dubai.

Hanny loved receiving gifts more than anything. She looked very beautiful in the dress. She was fair, attractive, and naturally shaped in a way that made many young men admire her.

She came out and went to her mother’s room.

She greeted her and said, “Umma, good morning. I want to go to Teema’s house. She is not feeling well, and I want to check on her.”

Her mother looked at her carefully and asked, “Which Teema? Did I not hear your noise with the girls here yesterday?”

Hanny replied, “By Allah, Umma, Teema did not come yesterday.”

Her mother said, “Alright. Greet her for me, but do not stay out late because I know your character.”

Hanny smiled and said, “Alright, Umma. Insha Allah, I will not be late.”

She took an Adaidaita Sahu and went to the house of one of her friends on Zoo Road. She did not want to stay at home because she felt time was moving too slowly. She was impatient for the next day to arrive so she could meet Babson.

She spent the whole day at her friend’s house and did not return home until nine o’clock at night.

When she came home, she met Umma in the sitting room.

Umma said, “Hanatu, did I not tell you not to stay out late? Where did you stop?”

Hanny replied, “By Allah, Umma, Teema’s elder brother said he would bring me back, but he did not return until evening.”

Umma said, “Alright. May Allah guide you.”

Hanny said nothing. She stood up, went to her room, bathed, applied body cream, and picked up her perfume.

Before she could spray it, her phone began ringing. She quickly dropped the perfume and answered the call.

She fell onto the bed, lowered her voice, and said, “Hello, Babson.”

Then she began speaking sweet romantic words to him.

Hanny Waits for Her Gift

At exactly seven o’clock the next morning, Hanny woke up with words of prayer on her lips. She rinsed her mouth and went to greet Umma. After that, she returned to her room.

She pulled out her box and began bringing out clothes, trying them one after another because that was the day Babson would return.

She spent almost one hour trying to choose what to wear.

Finally, she selected a green gown. The upper part fitted her body, while the lower part opened slightly.

She said proudly, “This is it. Hanny Baby, this outfit is perfect.”

She had just started removing the clothes she was wearing when Babson’s call entered her phone.

She smiled and answered, “Hello, sweetheart. Good morning.”

Babson replied sweetly, “My princess, did you just wake up? I am at the airport now. Our plane will soon take off. I hope you are ready to welcome me in five hours. You know I am stopping in Kano because of you and because I want to give you your gifts.”

Hanny smiled happily. That day, she was finally going to receive her tsaraba.

She said, “May Allah bring you safely, my love.”

Babson replied, “Ameen,” and ended the call.

Immediately, Hanny called Hassy.

As soon as Hassy answered, Hanny said, “You people should come quickly. You know today my gift will arrive. By Allah, he just called me and said he will be with me in five hours.”

Hassy replied, “By Allah, we are already at Teema’s house. We are waiting for her because you know she is the best cook among us, and she is the one who will prepare the food you will use to welcome him.”

Hanny said, “Alright, come quickly,” and ended the call.
