Episode 1 to 2

The sky had become heavily clouded. The whole town looked reddish and gloomy, while a strong wind began to blow.

A young lady was walking quickly. She was wearing an old Ankara dress that had faded from long use. The material was originally yellow and red with star designs, but because of how faded it had become, someone who did not know the cloth might think it was white and red.

The girl was fair in complexion, though not extremely light-skinned. She had thick natural hair, dark and beautiful. Her eyebrows were full, her eyes were bright, and her face was gentle and attractive. She had a calm beauty that could easily draw attention, even though her life clearly carried hardship.

The way Allah created her was one of the reasons her half-siblings hated her. They shared the same father, but their hearts were far from kind toward her.

She was walking fast, but anyone who did not know her might think she was showing off because of the way her steps naturally looked graceful.

In her hand, she carried a medium-sized basket filled with fruits. The basket was heavy for her, but she had no choice. She had to buy the fruits and carry them herself. She did not even have extra transport money to take an Adaidaita Sahu.

Since she had been dropped at the fruit sellers’ area near the government house road, she had been walking. She still had to reach the commissioner’s residence around Nassarawa, behind the field, before turning toward their street and entering home.

Her only thought was that before she reached home, the rain would surely start falling heavily.
