I saw a young adult woman standing alone. She appeared to be in her early twenties. A single glance at her revealed that she was deeply confused and frightened. Her eyes moved restlessly in every direction as though she were searching for somewhere to escape.
A sudden cry from another section of the house made her run towards it. Before reaching the room, however, she heard disturbing and intimate sounds coming from behind the closed door.
She tightly shut her eyes as hot tears streamed down her cheeks.
This same troubling behaviour had driven her away from the section of the house where she normally stayed. Unfortunately, when she entered another wing, she discovered that the situation there was no different.
Once again, she heard inappropriate sounds coming from behind another door.
She dropped to her knees and began crying silently. She had never been able to accept the immoral lifestyle practised within her family home.
There appeared to be no difference between day and night, although the disturbing activities became far worse after darkness fell.
Almost every night, the occupants remained awake until morning, repeatedly engaging in the same shameful behaviour.
Every section of the enormous residence presented her with the same disturbing reality. The atmosphere left her frightened, confused, and desperate for somewhere safe to hide.
Whenever she attempted to escape to her grandmother’s section, she found the young men of the household gathered there. From their expressions, it appeared that they too had fled from the troubling behaviour taking place in their respective family quarters.
There was no peaceful or secure place for her within any of the three sections occupied by their parents. Wherever she went, the same secret misconduct continued throughout the night until dawn.
